Reflexology is a relaxing, non invasive treatment, enabling you to lie back; switch off from a busy life and experience deep relaxation.

This treatment is based on the belief that certain points on the feet relate correspond to organs within the body. Reflexology offers a number of health benefits and many clients express an improvement in their well-being.

I can provide a specialist supportive chair and optional music to enhance your experience.

I have also undertaken a specialist Maternity Reflexology Course as coming from a Midwifery background, this felt like a logical step!

Reflexology can help with pre-conception; during the antenatal period (after 12 weeks) and following the birth.

Pressure points on the feet

My maternity reflexology qualification covers pre-conception (which is beneficial if you are struggling to conceive) and the antenatal period (following 12 weeks gestation).

Reflexology  is helpful to ease pregnancy related ailments, such as: nausea/backache/hip pain/insomnia/oedema/low mood and there is anecdotal evidence that it may induce labour

(the reproductive areas are not touched prior to 37 weeks for this reason).

Postnatally, Reflexology can aid sleep when the body craves rest;  improve breastfeeding lactation and help the body to return to its pre-pregnancy condition.

Price:

Reflexology Treatments are £45 in Thame or a £5 addition for local areas.  Payment is kindly required at the time via cash; BACS or SumUp machine.

Previously roles have included working as a Family Planning Nurse; Midwife and Health Visitor, therefore I have gained experience of supporting ladies through the antentatal and postnatal period. Following on from this, part of my trainee Counselling experience was working with the Oxford Infant-Parent Perinatal Team.

I have supported ladies experiencing difficulties in conception; pregnancy, birth (including trauma) and adjusting to partenthood.  This life changing event is not always easy and may be very different to expectations.  Feelings of 'not being good enough'; comparison with others and a sense of isolation and loss of 'self' or life as it was - can feel overwhelming.

Price:

The fee for online zoom/telephone counselling is required in advance via BACS and will be £55 (sessions are held on Tuesday/Wednesday 8.30-2pm or 4-6pm).

Face to face sessions are £73 (due to room hire/admin costs) held at The Practice in Thame on a Monday or Friday morning from 8.30am.
