Counselling/Psychotherapy

I am an Integrative Counsellor/Psychotherapist who adopts a holistic approach.  This means that I recognise that we are all unique individuals so I tailor therapy to meet your individual needs.  Psychotherapy creates the opportunity to explore early memories and your family of origin,  which help to understand yourself and how you view the world.  This enables us to gain insight into your behaviour patterns, working together so that you can see your presenting issue differently (incorporating some CBT).  

We could also explore any dreams that you have, as they can help to recognise thoughts/feelings which may be out of awareness regarding a presenting issue. 

I can help with a range of issues/challenges, including  anxiety; depression; stress; low self esteem; low mood; isolation; relationship difficulties (this is not an exhaustive list), although my specialist area of interest is within the antenatal/perinatal period due to training/experience.

Life can feel uncertain and overwhelming 

Reaching out can take a lot of courage and counselling is an opportunity to feel heard; validated and supported. The insight gained is empowering and a step towards moving forward and feeling able to overcome challenges.
